Evernote, iOS application, Android applications

Very few applications make the pages of TruTower outside of calling and messaging applications or apps that travelers can use, but every now and then, an application does manage to sneak its way in. Evernote is one such app.

The Evernote application is an innovative and easy-to-use way to save and sync notes, web pages, maps, files, and more, and share those items easily with colleagues. In some ways, it is very similar to Microsoft’s SkyDrive in some respects. One of the differences users on Android will be able to notice straight away is that there is an application for Evernote in the Google Play app store. Microsoft has yet to launch a SkyDrive application for Android.

With SkyDrive, you can store documents and photos. Evernote offers a much wider array of things you can store, including web pages. In addition, Evernote has created some handy browser extensions for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari that enable users to easily add more web pages and other content to their Evernote account.

Evernote also comes in a suite of different products: Evernote, Evernote Hello, Evernote Food, Evernote Clearly, and Evernote Peek. Evernote Hello helps you remember people and experiences more easily. Evernote Food is a great way to remember food experiences. Want to read TruTower.com outside your mobile browser? Then you’ll want to look into Evernote Clearly, which makes blog posts, articles and webpages clean and easy to read. Evernote Peek is a great tool for college or high school students who are looking to brush up on their studies by lifting a “cover” on their iPad or mobile device should they ever feel stumped when trying to study for that big test.

Evernote really shines at its ease of use and cross-platform compatibility. Users are able to move effortlessly between their mobile device and computer and back again, viewing their notes and adding additional notes with an ease we have yet to experience with similar applications on the market, not to mention the amazingly useful suite of Evernote products that are available.

Evernote is being used everyday by many companies and individuals for meetings, synchronizing ideas, sharing, and for keeping checklists (great for shoppers). If you’re looking for an all-in-one application that’s both practical and easy to use (or if one of the other Evernote suite apps caught your eye), Evernote is worth looking into.
