Nexus S Jelly Bean, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Nexus S, Google Nexus S Update

Nexus S Jelly Bean, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Nexus S, Google Nexus S Update

Nexus S owners may feel left out due to the fact that some Android owners are already getting the over-the-air update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. However, Nexus S owners might want to have the toothpaste handy. Google’s latest dessert in the bakery is now on Nexus S. But it’s not an official update; It’s coming in the form of a downloadable ROM courtesy of the wizards over at XDA Developers (seriously, is there nothing these guys can’t do?).

So if you simply cannot bear the wait for the official Jelly Bean code any longer (and you have to have the GSM version of the Nexus S, of course — either a I9020T or a I9023), then by all means feel free to download your jar of jelly beans at the source link below.

Just rememmber: Tru’s VoIP App may or may not work on Jelly Bean (you can try it at your own risk, but it does not work for us in our Nexus 7), so it’s recommended you don’t download this update unless you’re using the Tru SIM.
