Speaking of tablets (or “phablets” rather in this case), another rumor circling the web is that Samsung is preparing to announce its successor to the Galaxy Note device at a press event on August 15th.
The tablet will feature a 5.5-inch screen. That is pretty much all we know about the tab at this point.
This information does align well with previous rumors we’ve been hearing about the successor. Samsung may even pack their unbreakable plane display technology (UBP), 12-megapixel camera, and Android 4.1 into the affair at the last minute.
Of course, this could all be a smoke and mirrors representation of the press event’s true purpose. Possibly the launch of the Galaxy Note 10.1? We’ll just have to wait and see.
