Google Nexus HSPA+ Accessories, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Android Nexus Smartphones

Google has scheduled an Android event on October 29th. We’re going to speculate a little and throw the possibility of some Nexus love out there. The event’s purpose is actually not known at this point, except that the tagline for the event says simply that the “playground is open.”

Google Nexus Smartphone, Android Nexus Device, New Nexus Phone

While it’s impossible to know exactly what this means at this point, it is nevertheless intriguing enough for us to keep our eyes on the event, which comes just three days after Microsoft’s Windows 8 event and on the same day as Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 event.

For global SIM and messaging app users alike, a Nexus device would come as a welcome addition to their list of straight-to-market-unlocked devices. Here’s hoping this event is indeed regarding a Nexus announcement or two.
