Pebble Blue Galaxy S III, White Samsung GS3, Galaxy S3 delay

Here’s a bit of good news for Samsung Galaxy S III owners, especially if you’re the type who anxiously awaits device updates everyday.

According to some recent reports, Samsung is rolling out an update for the flagship Android device in the form of Android 4.1.2. As expected, international versions of the Galaxy S III (GT-I9300) will be on receiving end of the update first, although depending on which region you are in, you might have to wait a while until you get it. Even so, this is great news for those using the Jelly Bean-powered phone on Truphone SIM.

If you’re an app user who uses the Galaxy S III primarily with another carrier, you’re still in luck, though the update won’t come without a bit of waiting; as with all Android updates, the update for the Galaxy S III will likely be subject to your carrier’s approval.

Android 4.2.1 brings bug fixes to the Galaxy S III as expected, but Samsung has also brought Multi-View, a new Gallery app, smart rotation functionality, and more features to the device.
