Nokia Lumia 920, Windows Phone 8, WP8 Smartphone

If you’re using a Nokia Lumia 820 or 920 with your GSM service, you should be getting a new update, code-named “Portico” via over-the-air download, an update previously rolled out to users in the United States in December.

The update includes camera fixes for the Windows Phone 8-powered devices that enhance the photo feature to combat blurry daylight images and also brings the “always-on” Wi-Fi connectivity, both of which were rolled out in the update released to American devices.

The update is arriving a full two weeks earlier than Nokia had originally planned, but that is undoubtedly a welcome change for any international Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 user. According to Nokia’s online forums, the upgrade is rolling out in phases and should be finished by mid-March.

Users will receive a notification when the update is available for download.
