Fring Logo, Fring app, Fringout

Fring is one of the most popular VoIP and messaging apps available for Android and iOS, and many users have been wondering if and when the application would be available for Windows Phone and BlackBerry, specifically Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10.

We recently had the chance to take a peak at Fring’s plans for this year, but neither platform was mentioned as a candidate in those plans. Luckily, however, we were able to get more information.

While the company does not have a specific release date in place as of yet, Fring has informed us that they do indeed have plans to release the application for Windows Phone sometime in the future. We must admit that seeing Fring presented in Live Tile form would be absolutely brilliant and using its fringOut service through the OS would be equally so.

Regarding releasing the app for the BlackBerry 10 platform, Fring confirmed to TruTower that no plans are in place to release it for BB10 anytime soon.

As the year progresses, we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for a confirmation on a solid release date for the WP8 app. In the meantime, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that we won’t be waiting too long.
