Line VoIP application, Voice Over IP apps, free calling software

A new update rolling out of Japan-based Naver Corporation brings a few improvements to the LINE application for Android, namely the ability to share photos from other apps to the LINE app now. This ability was previously only enabled with LINE’s Camera add-on. This new ability allows you to post photos to your Timeline so your friends are able to see it.

Sharing photos between applications has been a very important part of social apps on the Android OS, allowing users to share with Facebook, Twitter, Kik, WhatsApp, or other applications. It’s great to finally see this feature roll out for LINE as the VoIP and messaging app continues its increasing growth in popularity.

In addition to the photo-sharing feature, the LINE update also brings a number of unspecified bug fixes that were listed as “minor” in the update changelog. The new update is now available for download in the Google Play store if you haven’t already downloaded it.
