WhatsApp for Android, WhatsApp application, WhatsApp Messenger

It seems like only yesterday that WhatsApp for Android received the long-awaited facelift and rolled out the new Holo UI look. The new look has been tweaked a little in the latest update, version 2.9.4171.

The changelog doesn’t describe exactly what kind of color and layout improvements were made in this latest version and we haven’t yet noticed any differences; so far, these tweaks appear to be very subtle changes aimed at improving the overall experience on Android smartphones and tablets.

The new update also teaches WhatsApp how to speak Croatian. It’s always a plus to see new languages supported, although they are still missing Klingon (next update, maybe?)

WhatsApp version 2.9.4171 also includes the usual lineup of bug and crash fixes we have come to expect from most new app releases. You can download the latest version right now in the Google Play store. Have you noticed any changes? Let us know in the comments!
