Facebook messenger iPhone, Facebook Messenger Voice, VoIP App

One of the VoIP and messaging apps that is often overlooked by some users is none other than Facebook. Or rather, their Messenger app for iOS and Android. Users in the United States and Canada have been loving the new voice calling functionality on iOS since January and on Android since earlier this month and now this functionality has been rolled out to users in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe.

To be clear, the feature is rolling out to iOS users right now. Users on Android will have to wait for now, but we’d be surprised if the feature didn’t run parallel to its earlier releases in the U.S. and Canada and roll out to Android users in the coming weeks. Additionally, despite some assumptions to the contrary, Skype is not powering Facebook’s voice calling feature.

Some of our readers have reported that the feature is working perfectly with so far no signs of horrible glitches or major kinks. If you’re ready to try it out for yourself, you can download it right now through the iTunes App Store.
