Rebtel logo, Rebtel app, Rebtel VoIP and Instant Messaging

The world’s second-largest mobile VoIP provider has updated its application for Android tablets and smartphones, bringing users of the OS a few new features and improvements in the process.

The new update carries the version number of 2.7.0. Users can expect mostly minor changes, the most notable of which is the addition of the message history for international conversations on the SMS tab, which allows you to view all of your sent and received messages with all of your international Rebtel pals.

The changelog for the update does note that “other messaging apps may prevent notifications for incoming text messages” so keep this in mind during use.

Otherwise, the update brings various stability improvements, but remains largely unchanged from the previous version. There’s always room for improvements, though, and those of you on Android can now download the new and improved version of Rebtel through Google Play.
