It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything out of the Truphone offices, but those on BB10 powered devices will be happy to know that they now have a new option when it comes to voice over IP apps. Truphone’s app — previously available only for iPhone and Android — is now available for BlackBerry 10.
The new “Built for BlackBerry” app brings a polished Truphone experience to BlackBerry that is miles ahead of the previous version that’s been available for legacy BB devices for years. The app offers full HD voice, cost indicators, and “cutting edge” VoIP technology under the hood.
Truphone says the app’s “next update” will roll out in two weeks and will “bring a number of updates and enhancements to the Truphone experience!” Hopefully this means messaging, as many users on Android and iOS have noticed the glaring lack of messaging service when the feature was removed when the new app launched back in November.
