ooVoo IM, ooVoo for Android, Android VoIP messaging apps

There’s no question that ooVoo loves Android The makers of the popular calling and messaging application recently rolled out a “Tech Refund” promotion for users in the United States as a way to celebrate tax refund season.

Now the company is stirring up more Android love by giving a way $75 million worth of Android smartphones in celebration of its recently-crossed 75 million user milestone according to a WSJ interview with Jay Samit, ooVoo’s president.

“Going the Android direction as opposed to the other is a decision that could really shape the marketplace,” he said. “For us, it’s a little selfish, we’d like more people in the Android world. We love our iOS folks, but here’s a chance to upgrade to a new one.”

Want to partake in the promotion? You can see more details, including eligible Android smartphones on a special promotional page the company has set up. It’s worth noting that you don’t need to be a new user and if you’re looking for the latest Galaxy smartphone, the new HTC One, or another high-end device, you won’t find it. You’ll also want to keep in mind that the deal requires a 2 year agreement with Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint (though in the case of T-Mobile, contracts have gone the way of the dinosaur).
