Microsoft Surface, Surface Tablet, Surface Sales

When it comes to availability, Microsoft‘s tablets are just scratching the surface. As of right now, both tablets are available in only a select few countries.

That’s about to change, however, as Microsoft announced this morning that its Windows RT and Windows 8 powered tablets will be rolling out some Modern UI love to even more markets, starting on April 25th in Malaysia and then next to Korea and Thailand sometime in late May or early June. This will bring the number of markets in which the RT slab can be purchased up to 29 by this summer.

As for the Surface Pro, customers can expect the tablet to move beyond its roots in the U.S. (as well as Canada and China) to an additional 19 markets by the end of next month. These markets include the UK, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

Microsoft also announced that it’s working with retailers on stocking issues with the 128GB flavor of the Surface Pro, so you shouldn’t have too long to wait before this version is available to you.
