Viber for iPhone 3G, Viber for iOS 4.2, iOS VoIP apps

Viber has really been pushing its app quite a bit lately. The company recently launched its app for Windows Phone 8 as well as Windows Phone 7.8, and not yet a week ago launched a new version of its app for iOS and Android and made a new home for itself on the PC and Mac.

Now Viber is looking to the past a little bit with the launch of a new version for Apple’s iPhone 3G. The new version includes everything great about Viber including messaging and VoIP calls but also rounds out the features by incorporating its popular group chat feature in the latest update as well. In order to take advantage of the app, users are required to have iOS version 4.2 installed on their devices.

It’s always good to see even older devices can still take advantage of new apps and new features so long as they’re permitted to by the developer. If you’re ready to for some good Viber-ations with your iPhone 3G, you can download the app directly from Apple’s App Store.
