Fring free Video calls and messages, fring logo, fringout

There were a number of users who were wondering about if or when Fring would be launching a service that would allow its users on Android and iPhone to accept incoming calls via a dedicated number. Finally, that day has arrived.

Fring has launched its FringIN service in the US and UK. The service provides Fring app users with a dedicated phone number in either country, with which users can accept incoming calls via VoIP within the Fring app from any position on the globe. The incoming rates are charged locally so long as the caller is in the same calling area as the Fring app user.

Since the service is used over VoIP, international connection costs for the calls are sidestepped. FringIN brings the Fring app up to par with other VoIP and messaging apps on the market, and should hopefully translate into an expanded user base across even more platforms in the near future.
