Voxer Pro, PTT, Push to Talk

Voxer Pro on Android is the professional, business-centric version of the popular push-to-talk and messaging application and its latest update brings something a little new to the table: Live Interrupt.

Live Interrupt allows users to stream live audio from a Voxer chat even when the application itself isn’t open or when the device’s screen is locked. Essentially, the service allows you to continue hearing Voxer without having to be in Voxer.

It doesn’t look like the actual talking experience is reciprocated in this way, but we can’t really say using Voxer on the lock screen would be an entirely good thing, nor would it be entirely bad. We can think of a number of scenarios where Live Interrupt would be useful, however. For instance, listening to a conference chat with a few coworkers while working. There are other potential uses, of course, but this one really stood out.

The new update also includes the round of bug fixes and performance improvements we’ve grown accustomed to with each new update that rolls out. If you’re ready to try out Live Interrupt for yourself, and you happen to have a Voxer Pro account, you can pick up the new version in Google Play.
