Voxer Pro for Android wasn’t the only flavor of the popular push to talk app to get an update late last week; the consumer version of the application for iOS devices also received a bump with version 2.6.9.

That roll out gave Voxer improved personal profile editing and saving, updated Facebook login, bug fixes, and performance improvements in one go. The changes made in this update bear a resemblance to a recent update for Android devices that provided better Facebook integration, and makes connecting with Facebook friends through push-to-talk and messaging a lot easier.

Voxer has certainly been updating their app quite a bit lately on both iOS and Android, but also has a Windows Phone 8 version in the works that we’re helping the team test right now (don’t worry, we’ll disclose our experiences as soon as the app becomes official in the Windows Phone Store!).

For now, to download the latest update for your Apple and experience the new profile enhancements yourself, browse to iTunes and download away! Don’t forget to share your experiences with us in the comments!

I always seem to have trouble with notifications unless I uninstall then reinstall. Might be my phone though, because my friends works just fine.

I did this too on my Samsung, but my HTC works just fine.

        Hi Timmyd and Edward!

It appears to be intermittent, as the Samsung and HTC I’ve tested both work after performing an update. I would submit feedback via the app to Voxer so they are made aware of this issue and can fix it :)

    Awesome app, highly recommended!

Although I do find it annoying when it finds random users it think you know but you don’t lol. At least you can turn off the address book sync though.
