Voxer Pro, Voxer App, Voxer PTT

Voxer is one of the most popular mobile push to talk and messaging apps available; the company has launched the latest evolutions of its application: Voxer Pro and Voxer Pro Business apps for Android and iOS devices.

Voxer Walkie-Talkie was launched in 2011 and allows users to send and receive live-recorded push to talk messages, with voice messages stored in a single interface alongside text, photo and location for playback at the user’s leisure.

Like Voxer, Voxer Pro and Voxer Pro Business apps are both available globally, can be used on any cellular data network or over Wi-Fi, and work on any iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) or Android device. Unlike other Push-to-talk services such as Nextel, there is no contract, commitment or cancellation fee for either service.

“After months of positive beta feedback from hundreds of business customers, we are ready to make Voxer Pro and Voxer Pro Business available to our worldwide community” said Tom Katis, CEO and founder, Voxer. “From the very beginning we planned to build a business-grade push-to-talk product, and these new iterations of Voxer enable businesses to connect instantly, helping companies grow, connect and communicate in ways they didn’t know were possible.”

Voxer Pro is for power users who want to add higher-end features to their existing Voxer accounts. Voxer Pro Business is aimed at business users who want more control and oversight over employee communications. Both services give users additional features and functionality beyond what is offered with the free consumer Voxer app.

Voxer Pro is a $2.99/month or $29.99/year in-app feature upgrade through the consumer Voxer app that includes new features, such as Live Interrupt Mode (available on Android at launch, and iPhone in the next few weeks) which allows users to hear any selected Voxer chats outside of the app and even in the lock screen, and Extreme Notifications which are loud repetitive alerts.

In addition to the normal Voxer PTT features, Voxer Pro Business also features Voxer Pro Manager, a desktop business communication system that allows companies administrative control and ownership of a private network of employee communication. Additional Voxer Pro Business features include headset integration and a real-time map with geotagged location to help manage employees.

Voxer Pro Business is being offered at a promotional price of $4.95 per month per user until October 1, after which the price reverts to the normal rate of $9.95 per month per user. Both Voxer Pro and Voxer Pro Business can be purchased through the Voxer website.
