WeChat, messaging apps, Tencent Messaging app

Earlier this week, WeChat users on Windows Phone were greeted with a major update that added a host of new features to the popularity gaining social application. A few days later, the Live Tile-embodied app has received another update.

The latest update released today does not have an official changelog posted on the Windows Phone Store, but we have been tipped that the update does indeed make some notable improvements, particularly with the newly added features from the aforementioned update that was released earlier this week.

We weren’t able to confirm which features received the slight tweaking, but apparently these tweaks to the app are centered around unexpected crashes when booting up the app, along with overall performance improvements. Many of these changes may go unnoticed by a majority of users, but for those who had been experiencing problems starting up the application or using the new features, this update is a most welcome special delivery out of the China based Tencent and should make your experience better. Let us know in the comments if you notice any additional changes.

To download the new update, point your WP8 device to the Windows Phone Store and let the downloading commence!
