ooVoo, iPad chat apps, free calls

As some of us are engaged in the all-too-entertaining Halloween-induced zombie antics on ooVoo voice chat, there are those who prefer to use the messaging approach to stay in touch with friends and family, and it’s those users that ooVoo has targeted in its latest update.

ooVoo version 2.0.5, released today, fixed a bug preventing messages from being displayed in portrait mode when using the Apple iPad to send and receive instant messages.

If you’re looking for a major update like that we saw on September 25 that re-added mobile status updates or the one on September 18, which brought improved video quality to video calls, this particular update is not it. That being said, we’re always happy to see our apps working a little better.

If you haven’t done so already, you can pick up the latest ooVoo update right here. Let us know in the comment section below how the new version 2.0.5 works with your iPad!
