WhatsApp, Messaging apps, Mobile messaging

Running WhatsApp on your BB10 smartphone? An update was released earlier today for your platform that added a few new features.

Those using the BlackBerry 10 client and updating to the new version 2.11.134.2 will now have the ability to change their registered phone numbers within the application, a feature that has been a long-time coming for the BlackBerry 10 platform (We cover number changes for the other platforms here.).

The new app update also brings the ability to delete your WhatsApp account, which is really only useful if you’re not going to be using your WhatsApp or are planning on switching to BlackBerry Messenger or one of the many other messaging options on the market.

Finally, the “form” of the application received a little tweak as large photo thumbnails were added onto your chat rooms. If you haven’t already received the update, you can download the latest version of WhatsApp right here. How is the new app working for you?
