Lycamobile, international travel sim cards, roaming sims

We love our global roaming SIM cards, so when a new service decides to join the pack, we’re all ears. Lyca Telcom a subsidiary of UK company Lycamobile (the company behind Toggle Mobile) that’s based out of Chennai, has just launched a postpaid SIM that will help travelers from India avoid the evils of “bill shock.”

The new service gives Lycatel travelers calls back to India that cost as low as Re 1 with free incoming calls included, no deposits or renting required. Users an pick a UK mobile number to use as a primary number in India and thirteen additional countries, including Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium, the US and Australia.

“In India, business travellers represent a fast growing customer segment, which is expanding as India is getting integrated with global economy. Hence, there is a growing demand from SMEs, banks, finance, students of overseas education and aviation industry and corporates for cost-effective calling cards with better quality and connectivity,” said Milind Kangle, CEO of Lycamobile.

Lycamobile COO Premananthan Sivasamy revealed that the company is planning to invest in and expand its distribution network across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the rest of the world in addition to its seven offices in India, with investments in the expansion stretching to at least the year 2016.
