Viber for desktop, Viber stickers, Viber update

Viber version 4.0 rolled out to smartphones and Android tablets last week with new features, including push to talk, and now the company as bringing the update to desktop users.

The most notable of the inclusions in the update is the availability of the Sticker Market, bringing Viber stickers to the desktop environment for the first time. The company also released a Linux version of the app alongside those already available for Mac and Windows operating systems.

Additional important updates in the new version include:

  • Drag and drop – send photos by dragging them to the app
  • ‘Seen’ status lets you know when your messages have been viewed
  • Ability to receive video messages
  • Ability to view photo and video descriptions
  • Video call improvements
