Truphone calling, Truphone messaging, worldwide calls

After bringing back the messaging feature for the first time in a year, Truphone’s app is now looking to supporting more users with its latest update, version 5.3.1.

The update is now available for Android smartphones and tablets and brings availability for Spanish speaking users. The update also fixes a few pesky bugs that affected users of “some handsets,” although Truphone did not elaborate on the problems, which handsets were affected, nor how many users experienced the issues.

Truphone has been releasing update after update as of late. In addition to the aforementioned messaging added in October, the company enabled in-app purchases on both iOS and Android after adding HD calling to iOS in June and the same to Android in July. The improved service, however, was initially rolled out on BlackBerry 10 in April.

It’s great to see such devotion to the app coming from Truphone. Here’s hoping they finally release their app for Windows Phone sometime soon.
