MobileGlobe, international roaming, travel apps

International mobile operator MobileGlobe is offering a new calling plan, available both to private customers and businesses, that allows unlimited calls to 40 countries around the world.

The plan is called Unlimited GOLD and starts at €19.99 per month each for 1 to 5 lines with no contract and no need to change tariffs or SIM cards when arriving at an international destination. For 5 to 10 lines the price per line drops to €17.99, and does so again at 10 to 15 lines, 15 to 25 lines and more than 25 lines, which run €15.99, €13.99, and €11.99, respectively.

MobileGlobe can be installed in under 24 hours without start-up costs or changing operators. Once you’ve registered on the MobileGlobe website, you’ll recieve a text message to confirm your registeration and will also assist you in downloading MobileGlobe’s dedicated app on your smartphone. The app is currently available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. Calls can then be made through the cellular network rather than VoIP.

“[MobileGlobe’s new offer] goes further than the usual services of this kind by including not only European destinations but also many other countries such as Mexico, Japan and Israel”

The app also allows both individuals and business users to manage their accounts and view usage data via a dedicated web interface.

“Resolutely innovative, our new offer combines all the elements of success to make MobileGlobe a leader in the telecoms market. With no contract and extremely simple to use, it goes further than the usual services of this kind by including not only European destinations but also many other countries such as Mexico, Japan and Israel,” explains Yoann Valensi, Director of MobileGlobe.

Valensi also says the deal will save travelers about 70 percent compared to traditional mobile operators through which national calls are placed.

Since MobileGlobe was founded, the company has gained over 1,000 corporate clients and more than 20,000 subscribers for its services in 18 countries. With the launch of Unlimited GOLD, the operator is aiming to double its number of service users by the end of 2014.

Countries in which MobileGlobe operates include: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
