KakaoTalk, KakaoTalk updates, KakaoTalk news

Last week, KakaoTalk for Android received an update that added a little bit of winter flare to the calling and messaging application. A new update has also been pushed out for devices powered by Google’s platform that builds upon the winter update, fixing a few errors in the process.

Version 2.1 fixes a problem where the “auto suggest” feature of the keyboard didn’t work on “certain devices.” It’s not clear which devices this issue was affecting, however, but if you still experience this issue, let us know in the comments.

Other bug fixes are also rolled into the update, but as per usual, specifics on the nature of these fixes weren’t provided by the developer, leaving us to assume that they’re nothing more than minor background improvements designed to make the app run faster and crash less.

KakaoTalk recently surpassed 120 million users globally.

KakaoTalk just surpassed 120 million users worldwide, most of which currently reside in Kakao’s home country of South Korea and 13 million of which live in Indonesia. Half of these utilize KakaoTalk on the Android platform.

If you haven’t obtained the new KakaoTalk update yet, it is now available for download via Google Play.
