Samsung ChatON, chaton app, chaton friends

At the end of December, we learned that Samsung would be releasing an update for its messaging application that would include the ability to disable its new SMS and MMS function released in November. This functionality has finally arrived on Android with version 3.3.51.

The new update also expands the SMS and MMS support to more countries, including Brazil, Germany, India, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. The ChatON Shop has also been opened to allow for various in-app purchases.

A small user interface improvement can also be seen in the new version, which now shows images sent and received in the chat bubble as larger than before.

Finally, ChatON now allows the sending and receiving of wmv formatted files.

The new ChatON can be downloaded right now via Google Play. Notice any other changes or having any other issues with the application? Let us know in the comments below, or be sure to post in the forums!
