Vonage, the company behind the Vonage Mobile application, has just won two prestigious awards at the 8th Annual International Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service Gala Banquet & Awards Ceremony. Vonage earned the 2014 People’s Choice Stevie Award for Favorite Customer Service in the telecommunications category, and the 2014 Silver Stevie Award for Customer Service Department of the Year, also in the telecommunications category.

“Vonage is committed to providing excellent service to each and every one of our customers,” said Marc Lefar, chief executive officer of Vonage. “We are thrilled to receive the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Customer Service and the Silver Stevie for Customer Service Department of the Year. These awards are a testament to our dedication to our customers. We appreciate the recognition from the Stevie Awards and the people who voted for us.”

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top sales, contact center and customer service awards. The awards were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on February 21 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. More than 400 nominated customer service and sales executives from the United States and several other countries attended.

Approximately 430,000 votes were cast in the 2014 People’s Choice Stevie( )Awards for Favorite Customer Service. The worldwide public vote was conducted between January 23 and February 14, 2014, with the highest number of votes deciding the winners in 11 industry categories.

While these awards aren’t directly related to their calling application, it nevertheless demonstrates Vonage’s commitment to customer service, which could bode well in their attempts to attract more customers to their mobile endeavors.
