Voxer Business, Voxer for Web, Voxer Pro

Voxer has delivered a “highly optimized” version of its web application for Internet Explorer, bringing the web push-to-talk app to even more browsers and a larger potential audience.

The web app includes the following new enterprise-grade features:

  • Multi- admin support – for added flexibility and control, businesses can assign different admins to each department or team, to ensure admins only receive relevant messages.
  • Read receipts and message forwarding – users will now see small notifications below each message that indicates its status – sent, delivered or heard/read.
  • Expanded browser support for Voxer for Web – desktop platform can now be used on Internet Explorer versions 9, 10, and 11

The experience works on PCs, Tablets, and even Windows Phone

Voxer for Web, Voxer Business, Voxer Walkie-Talkie Push to TalkWe tested the new IE version on both a PC running Windows 8.1 as well as a Windows Phone 8 device.

Voxer for Web performed well in both cases, though there were some minor display issues on WP in the form of a “Welcome to Voxer Web” popup that had its entire right side cut off, so couldn’t be minimized, even after zooming out. You can see this in the screenshot. Otherwise, it worked great for messaging your Voxer colleagues and considering it clearly wasn’t optimized for IE on Windows Phone, it worked very well.

Voxer for Web was first launched back in October and is an extension of the company’s Award-winning Business application. You can get started with Voxer Business and Voxer for Web via the Voxer website.
