imo messenger, imo.im, instant messaging

Stickers have become a big part of many calling and messaging apps and their efforts to monetize; imo.im is no exception, and added stickers to its Android application late last year. Soon afterward, the company extended them to iOS.

“Several of [the new] stickers are even animated”

Now the company is increasing its arsenal of available stickers with the debut of an otter named Henry. 23 stickers in all have been added to the popular messaging and calling application and have been made available to everyone on Android, iPhone, iPad, and Amazon Kindle.

“Several of Henry’s stickers are even animated,” imo said, “Which makes sending messages to your friends even more expressive and fun.”

imo.im recently discontinued third-party instant messaging support, but originally encompassed over 11 services. Two services were eliminated last April, including Skype, with the rest ending in early March in favor of imo.im’s own network. The company also launched a WebRTC version back in February, allowing users to communicate with voice via their favorite web browser.

imo.im can be downloaded via Google Play, iTunes, and the Amazon App Store for free.
