Voxox has just announced the latest release of its mobile app for iOS and Android, which includes a suite of new rich media sharing and messaging features for groups, making an already feature-filled app even more appealing.
In the new release, users can share rich media, such as videos, images, location, and contacts with a virtually unlimited number of contacts and messaging groups. The app continues to work to allow users the ability to connect with anyone from anywhere, regardless of what network or device they’re using. Of course, existing features also make a return in the new update, including free worldwide calling and texting to all phone numbers, two-way electronic faxing, on-the-fly language translation, voicemail transcription, a free phone number, call forwarding, and much more.

We spoke with Tristan Barnum, CMO of Voxox about the new update. Barnum noted how well the new groups fit into the existing Voxox ecosystem.

Barnum also treated us to a live demonstation of the group capability, running through the app’s on-the-fly translation features, group photo sharing, and messaging, and more. The features were indeed well integrated and really seemed to fit well into the overall package.
As part of the new group rich media sharing and messaging functionality, Voxox users will be able to:
- Create and manage as many messaging groups as they like and of practically any size
- Send/receive rich media messages to these groups, with such content as photos, videos, locations and contacts
- Be notified of group messages, even when offline
It’s important to note that Voxox-to-Voxox communication is stil free, as are all inbound calls and messages to Voxox accounts from non-Voxox contacts. New users joining Voxox will receive $1 bonus credit to start, which equates to roughly 100 free calling minutes to phone numbers in the U.S. and Canada, or 52 free minutes to phone numbers in China, France, and United Kingdom.
