Facebook Messenger, FB Messenger for WP, Windows Phone app gap closing

Facebook Messenger was updated to v8.0 in Windows Phone Store and received the ability to forward a message or photo to someone who isn’t a part of your current conversation. This opens up some new worlds of communication for Windows Phone users and could possibly help encourage more group chats as more content is shared.

Speaking of messages, you can also now choose to send messages using the enter button on Windows Phone rather than having to tap send. You also have the option of having this function off. This particular option was added based on user requests, so it’s nice to know the feedback isn’t falling on deaf ears.

Facebook has also made some improvements to the app’s overall performance on Microsoft’s mobile OS.

Facebook was recently the subject of a lot of hate from users who were upset with the social network’s decision to divide its Messenger service from the main app, and a large portion of this anger was due to privacy issues. So far, it looks as though the majority of the user base has let their anger cool and has started to use Messenger anyway.
