Skype, Skype TX, Skype VoIP and IM

Back in April, we got our first glimpse of Skype TX, a combination of hardware and software that allows Skype video calls from anywhere in the world to be seamlessly integrated into any product. Today, Skype team announced Skype TX’s release to manufacturing and also welcoming three brand new hardware partners to the Skype family: NewTek, Quicklink and Riedel.

Skype TX can offer a way to:

  • Seamlessly adding full-frame Skype video and audio via SDI
  • Optimizing the experience for the broadcast workflow
  • Being cost effective for use in studio and outside broadcast integration
  • Operating in a dynamic environments, including call handling management for multiple, simultaneous
  • Skype calls on one management interface, plus operator previews, auto fall back to still and call quality monitoring

Video and audio are free from all notifications, signals, adverts or pop-ups. Skype TX also takes care of aspect ratio mismatches automatically and the software operator has full control over screen aspect ratios using Skype TX software.
