WhatsApp Messenger, WhatsApp, Whatsapp updates

It’s become apparent that backing up your WhatsApp conversations to iCloud is running into a few snags in the latest update to the application while it’s being used on Apple’s new iOS 8 operating system.

The issue was noticed earlier today since the iOS 8 software has just started rolling out. It’s also not clear if it’s only the iOS 8 “Gold Master” version that’s being affected (let us know in the comments if you experience issues on an earlier version), but so far that appears to be the case.

It’s not just iCloud that the backups aren’t working in, either, as the issue is also affecting Dropbox, so it looks like a change in the actual OS might be causing the issues.

Apple will likely release an update soon that will address these issues, so we shouldn’t have to deal with this for too long. In the meantime, there are still other options available if you absolutely must back up your messages.
