Ouija Movie, Ouija Snapchat, Ouija Board

Snapchat launched an advertisement over the weekend –it’s first ever — that apparently creeped a few Twitter users out. Depicting

Snapchat has said that it wants the ads to be a better part of the experience:

“We won’t put advertisements in your personal communication – things like Snaps or Chats. That would be totally rude. We want to see if we can deliver an experience that’s fun and informative, the way ads used to be, before they got creepy and targeted. It’s nice when all of the brilliant creative minds out there get our attention with terrific content.”

The first ad was a movie trailer for Ouija and gave users a 20-second preview that a got a few users on Twitter to get a little vocal about how much it “creaped them out,” though many users thought it was perfectly okay.

What did you think of the new ad for Ouija or about Snapchat ads in general? Post your thoughts in the comments.
