LINE Trio, LINE games, Puzzle gaming

The LINE gaming platform continues to expand with LINE Trio, a new puzzle game released today for iOS and Android.

LINE Trio includes the same kind of wacky storyline that we’d expect from a LINE game. You take control of popular LINE character Brown (who takes the role of Detective Brown in LINE Trio) and must obtain all 20 fragments of masterpieces stolen by a villain named Phantom Thief X with your assistant Romeo. You’ll obtain these fragments (1 fragment per stage) by conquering a series of puzzles in match-3-or-more style.

Move the blocks up, down, left, or right and match 3 or more blocks of the same LINE character to pop them. Each stage has its own mission that must be cleared before you can progress to the next stage. By matching 4 or 5 blocks, you’ll be able to unlock special blocks that will help give you an advantage in the stages and will give you more points, so it’s a good idea to try and obtain as many as you can. You can have blocks lined up in horizontal or vertical straight lines or in L shapes, each of which contains its own special blocks to obtain. There are items you can use to help you along your way as well.

You can earn gifts based on how many friends you invite

Of course, where would a LINE game be without friends to join you? You can invite your friends to play LINE Trio and earn gifts depending on how many you invite:

  • 1 Invite – 1 Heart
  • 5 Invites – 2 Random Block items
  • 15 Invites – 3 Star Shot items
  • 25 Invites – 3 Line Plus items
  • 50 Invites – 100 Rubie

Begin your quest for the masterpieces by downloading the game via the iTunes App Store or Google Play. Be sure to download the latest version of the LINE app as well. Post your thoughts on the game in the comments below.
