Movy video messaging, messaging apps, Android social software

It’s true that there is no shortage of messaging apps to choose from if you’re using an Android smartphone or tablet, and there always seems to be one more app waiting around the corner, providing you with ways to communicate that go beyond the scope offered from your mobile carrier’s standard calling and text messaging.

Moxy (like “movie”) is yet another player in the crowded playing field of instant messaging applications. Its focus is on the ability to send video messages of any length with one tap. There’s one on one messaging inside, as well as group messaging for those with massive messaging social lives. Video messages can be replayed at any time, and come with comment and reply streams that echo something out of Facebook or WeChat, though in Movy’s case they can be shared.

you can send a video message to anyone even if they don’t have Movy

What’s really great about Movy is that you can send a video message to anyone even if they don’t have the application, so you don’t have to worry about spamming your friends constantly to try and get them to join yet another messaging circle, though you’ll probably still want to if you enjoy using it enough.

The downside is that you can only utilize the app on Android; there is no iOS or Windows Phone version, so if your friends are using either of these two platforms, they’ll likely stick to what they already use. Still, with the ability for you to send video messages to anyone, at least you’d still be able to communicate. In addition, the developer does offer a web application at http://movy.co.

You can download Movy via Google Play.
