KakaoTalk for Android smartphones and tablets, Kakao-Daum, Daum-Kakao Chat apps

Kakao, which only recently completed a merger with search provider Daum, recently released an update for its KakaoTalk app for Android that added a new one on Secret Chat feature, allowing you to engage in a private conversation with your KakaoTalk friends.

The update, version 4.7.0, was released over the weekend and also includes the ability to decline reinvites to group chat rooms, which should help a number of you who have been complaining about spam chat rooms. The new update also added some new wallpapers for the app’s Notification Cover. These wallpapers can be accessed by navigating to the KakaoTalk app’s More section, selecting Settings and then tapping on the Kakao Lab option.

The new update is now available in the Google Play Store. There’s no word yet on when iOS or the newly released Windows Phone 8.1 app will be getting these features, but stay tuned to TruTower on our social networks for further updates.
