Skype Microsoft Office, Office Online, Skype VoIP and IM

In a bid to help people be more productive, Skype has released its popular calling and messaging application for Office Online Word and Office Online PowerPoint at Outlook.com.

According to the official announcement:

Skype for Office Online makes collaborating a breeze. The chat experience is available right next to the document, enabling you to chat in and edit in real-time with other authors. Speed up and simplify document editing with quick Skype group chats instead of long e-mail threads. Keep track of which co-authors are online as well as messages you might have missed.

To get started using the new Word Online functionality, you must first link your Skype account to your Microsoft account. After that, you’ll be able to sign in directly from the website and be able to use Skype to your heart’s content.

Skype is quick to point out that, as always, the team is looking to improve the overall experience, so be sure to provide them with feedback as you use the service.
