TravelSIM, global sim cards, international roaming

Telecoms firm Top Connect (www.topconnect.com) today announces that it has completed the acquisition of Austrian-based TravelSIMshop.com and has transferred its users to the TravelSim (www.travelsim.com) brand, a subsidiary of Top Connect.

The acquisition adds more than 120,000 customers to TravelSim’s growing customer base. Already the world’s leading data and calling roaming service, TravelSim has more than 5 million regular users comprising travelling business executives and holidaymakers.

Most of TravelSIMshop.com’s customers are based in Western Europe, and the company’s headquarters is based in Vienna, Austria.

“this has been a very natural transition for both organizations”

“We are delighted to welcome TravelSIMshop into our family of companies and this has been a very natural transition for both organizations,” said Max Rivshin, CEO of Top Connect. “The management of both companies have been talking about this for years and have a long standing business relationship for more than a decade. We share the same client demographics, operate in similar markets, and even have very similar sounding names.” The CEO added, “It made perfect sense for us to amalgamate and to merge under one brand, especially since many customers had already thought we were one company.”

  • A 24 hour personal assistant
  • Free incoming SMS messages
  • Free incoming calls in 135 countries
  • Competitive data service plans
  • Cheap data rates available for many countries

“As part of this acquisition, we took immediate care to make sure that all our new clients feel at home by providing all the necessary access to live and web-based support lines,” said Mikhail Markin, Head of Product Development.
