Symbian Belle, Nokia, Microsoft, MS Office

As Microsoft promised way back on February 24th, Nokia and Microsoft have made the mobile versions of Word, PowerPoint and Excel available to select Symbian Belle handsets.

Earlier this year, OneNote, Document Connection, Lync and PowerPoint Broadcast were all released, a signal that the relationship between Nokia and Microsoft is definitely a beautifully blooming one. With this latest software update, the Office app suite for Symbian seems to be complete.

The handsets that can receive the update using Nokia Software Update include:

  • E7
  • C7
  • C6-01
  • X7
  • Oro
  • 700
  • 701
  • 603

It’s true that Symbian Belle is pretty much a dead operating system, but this news will come to as music in the ears to those international GSM SIM customers who aren’t quite ready to shelve their Symbian devices yet.
