WorldSIM Launches Android 4.2.2 Powered Dual SIM Smartphone with Free International Roaming

International carrier WorldSIM wants to do more to live up to their title of “international roaming specialists.” To that end, the company has just announced the release of a brand new dual SIM smartphone which will enables users to receive free international roaming in almost 100 countries.

There aren’t too many 3G-capable quad-band (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz), dual-SIM phones on the market, and that makes this mid-range phone arguably one of the best to use when roaming internationally. The Orbizz, as it’s called, will work with WorldSIM or any other global roaming SIM since it comes unlocked out of the box. Of course, it comes with a WorldSIM travel SIM card so users can start enjoying low-cost calls and data out of the box and also features the WorldSIM branding on the back.

The WorldSIM Orbizz was designed “with international travellers in mind”

The Orbizz features a 4.0” 480×800 WVGA display screen and 4.2.2 Android powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 processor with 512MB RAM with 4GB ROM, expandable by up to 32 GB with an SD memory card. The phone also includes a 1,500mAh battery under the hood and supports wireless tethering, so you’ll be able to connect any WiFi enabled device to your WorldSIM service.

WorldSIM’s CEO, Arif Reza, commented “We developed the Orbizz with international travellers in mind and we have had really positive feedback. It will make life much easier for frequent travellers and those wanting to benefit from the best tariffs without the hassle of doing the dreaded SIM card swap.”

This isn’t the first time a global carrier has launched their own smartphone. GO-SIM also launched their own device last June with similar intentions. However, WorldSIM Orbizz is the first to support dual SIM technology.

The Orbizz costs £179.99 with no contract whatsoever, and also includes £20 of free WorldSIM credit to start. The device officially went on sale publicly via the WorldSIM website today and will be distributed worldwide to over 4000 resellers over the coming months.

On roaming, unlike others, I did not like to waste time finding wifi. So, I wanted a device which could perform accordingly. Then, purchased an Orbizz phone from my roaming partner WorldSIM. It processed data with good speed and data rate never bumped up my estimation. Apart from just data usage, it performed some other tasks which helped me getting happy roaming experience.

Ordered for a WorldSIM TriFi last month. Used it in Madrid. It ironed
out my data connection problems. On roaming, I did not demand for HD
video streaming or live telecasting from any site but for my tasks, the
device performed good enough. Did not bother me with buffering.

one charge what was very much crucial for my recent trip that I made in a hill
area of Finland. Long battery life, good coverage and affordable calling charge
