KakaoTalk for Android, VoIP apps for Android, Messaging application

South Korea’s KakaoTalk voice and messaging app continues adding to its already extensive and ever-growing list of available features. This latest update, version 3.6.5 was rolled out to Android users recently, and an assortment of new additions rolled out with it.

KakaoTalkers can now report recommended friends under the “Find” tab as well as block friends from contacting them at all by checking a “Report Spam” option. This feature is especially userful when blocking those pesky spammers.

A couple of “alarming” features were added as well — specifically, the ability to set an alarm for each chat room by long-tapping it on the chat room list, and set an alarm or add to Favorites by opening the menu button in a chat room. In addition, users can now add a city to change the time zone when creating a new event on the “Schedule” menu

A minor update (version 3.6.6) was released on top of the aforementioned 3.6.5 that fixes an error that caused a message to pop up when users attempted to upgrade to the latest version, which is now available in the Google Play Store.
