iOS 6.1.2, Apple Update, iPhone Update

We recently reported on an update Apple had planned that was going to fix some Microsoft Exchange Server issues in iOS. Apple just started rolling out the update to iOS users in the form of iOS 6.1.2.

The new update for Apple devices fixes the calendar hiccup, though it does not appear to fix anything else from what we have experienced thus far. It appears Apple has released this new OS update solely to target that issue and nothing else. As you can see from the screenshot above, data usage problems and battery issues have resulted from the Exchange troubles addressed in iOS 6.1.2. Of course we’ll keep our eyes open for any other issues that may have been fixed in the new operating system version.

In the meantime, you can update your iPhone and iPad device through iTunes and check the Apple Support website for more information about the new software update.
