Microsoft Surface, Surface Tablet, Surface Sales

If you haven’t had the chance to get your hands (or your apps) on Microsoft’s Surface RT tablet because it’s not yet available in your country, you may have your chance — that is, if your country happens to be on the list of six countries that are receiving the new tablet.

Good news for those living in Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan, as you are the recipients of the new Windows RT-powered device. You should now be able to find it in retail stores in your area.

“We are eager to see people and businesses in more countries get a chance to experience this new category of devices,” said Panos Panay, corporate vice president, Microsoft Surface. “Surface is the best of a tablet and a PC.”

For those living in Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, you will be receiving the Windows 8-powered flavor of the tablet, Surface Pro, “in the coming months,” though a specific release date has not been released by Microsoft in its press release on the Surface blog.
