Rebtel logo, Rebtel app, Rebtel VoIP and Instant Messaging

Rebtel for iOS isn’t the only flavor of the popular VoIP app to get an update this week. The version for Android is also getting a few tweaks and improvements in its latest update, version 2.7.2.

Android users will have a much easier time sending new messages, as the recipient name is now displayed instead of the phone number. This should help alleviate much of the confusion that was involved in the feature (and should hopefully lead to fewer messages sent to the wrong recipient). You should also be able to send these new messages over a much weaker data connection than before and still have the message successfully go through.

Those aren’t the only changes to come to the messaging ability — the messaging feature took center stage with the new update. Users can now long press a message to receive an option to forward it. You’ll also be able to see all the recipients of the message if more than one recipient has been selected.
