LINE is one of the most social-centric VoIP and messaging apps we cover. It’s made even more so by the various downloadable, themes, add-ons, games, and tools such as LINE camera and LINE Play.
Speaking of LINE Play, the avatar add-on service has already reached the 9 million user mark according to the company. LINE Play first launched on February 20th, so it’s certainly experienced a very fast rate of growth despite being unavailable for Windows 8 and Windows Phone versions of the app.
To celebrate hitting the 9 million user mark, LINE is throwing a Gems event in the app for their users that will last until June 23. Users will have the opportunity to earn a bonus gem in LINE Play until the end of the day June 23 (GMT+9).
