LINE App, Android, iOS

We all know that LINE’s app makes and receives calls and messages, but there’s one feature that’s been demanded by users that has so far remained out of reach: video calling. That feature has finally arrived on Android with LINE version 3.9.0.

Video calling capability is arguably the biggest feature addition to hit LINE since LINE Game launched and brings the app up to par with other video messaging apps such as Skype and Tango.

Video messaging may be the most notable feature addition in the new update, but it’s certainly far from the only new feature. An “Albums” feature has also been added to make LINE an even more formidable opponent in the app-based social arena. Albums allow you to create and edit photo albums with a friend or in groups so you can share pictures of a trip, or just a day of hanging out.

LINE has also released privacy improvements in the latest update, particularly to the Home feature to allow privacy settings for individual posts and an added function to delete users from your Blocked Users and Hidden Users lists.
