BlackBerry Messenger, BBM, BBM for iOS

The wait is finally (almost) over. BlackBerry’s BBM is coming back to , iTunes and Google Play later today.

So far, the app is now showing up in iTunes, but has not yet made an appearance in Google Play for me. You can download BBM here. Both versions should be live soon according to BlackBerry, though you may not be able to use the app from the start. There’s apparently a queue that you have to sign up for using your email address.

As we’re all aware by now, the app was originally supposed to launch in September but was later pulled due to unexpected issues. According to BlackBerry, it is using a wait list for the app to help manage “unprecedented pent up demand.”

If you’ve already entered the queue, you just have to wait. If you haven’t, simply access the download links at the link above and enter your email address to save your place in line. BlackBerry says it will email you as soon as you reach the head of the queue, but there’s no telling how long that will take.

Update: The BlackBerry Messenger links are all working. Download BBM here if you haven’t already. So far, we’ve had a great experience. Let us know in the comments what you think.
